First Kingi

I just wanted to thank you for taking us out fishing today, Its not very often my son and I can do fun things together, and when he caught that big Kingfish, well it just made my day and what a great start to the year. The work that Reels on Wheels does to provide a fishing service for people living with a disability can not be underestimated, especially so for me spending quality time with my son

Andrew Blake from Anglers Anonymous has developed an online booking system, which he has provided to Reels on Wheels at no charge. This will streamline and improve our bookings and communication. Many thanks to Andrew. Andrew runs a fishing charter business based out of Oakura Bay just North of Whangarei, so if you want a great days fishing in some of New Zealand's best fishing grounds give him a call.

Reels on Wheels is a non for profit charitable trust, registered with the charities commission.

Our purpose is to take people in wheel chairs fishing.

We are run by volunteers and the Reels on Wheels team are like minded people who enjoy boating and fishing, and want people in wheel chairs to experience the freedom of fishing.

Our fishing trips are free for chair anglers and a buddy, (caregiver) funded through sponsorship and donations from various community trusts, businesses and individuals. We currently operate out of Auckland, but as funding allows we want to expand nation wide.

Reels on Wheels fishing trips are on New Zealand surveyed charter vessels with qualified skippers, working under Maritime New Zealand rules for charter vessels.

Graeme Sinclair from Gone Fishin is our patron and is very supportive of our charity .
